Ahmed Mohammed Hakawi is currently Deputy, General Director of Infection Prevention and Control Directorate, MOH. Prior to taking up this position, Dr Hakawi was Director, Infection Control and Environmental Health Administration, KFMC and Consultant Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, KFMC
He is a Fellow of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) and also a member of Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) amongst many others.
