Dr Alserehi is a Director for the Global Health Department at Saudi Center for Prevention and Control and lead for the SA Global health security team. She serves as the Executive Director for Surveillance and Response at the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control from July 2018 till May 2019 . She Also serves as Deputy Chair for the National Anti-Microbial Resistance Committee.
Prior to joining the SCDC, Dr. Alserehi was the Head-Section of the Infectious Disease Department, Deputy Chair for Infection Control and Chairperson for Antibiotics Stewardship Program at King Abdullah Medical Complex, Ministry of Health.
Dr. Alserehi received her Bachelors degree from King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah. She obtained her Saudi Board of Internal Medicine followed by Adult Infectious Diseases Fellowship. Dr. Alserehi has completed a one year special training program as post-Doctoral Fellow in Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in the Epidemiology and Public Health Department – in collaboration with the University of Maryland’s Medical Center. She completed a certification in Infection Control (CBIC) awarded by Associations in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
Dr. Alserehi is a published author in the Peer Review Journals. She also has special interests in the fields of Public Health, AMR, and the Antibiotics Stewardship.
